2006 Breaux – Jolie Blonde
Popped a bottle of Breaux Vineyards Jolie Blonde this weekend while trying to comprehend the insanity that is the Nintendo Wii. I remarked in an earlier post that the wine was light and crisp, like a Sauvignon Blanc.
It was different out of the bottle. The Jolie Blonde, made from the Seyval Blanc grape, looked darker in the glass, almost like a Sauternes… or a Chardonnay that had been left in the cellar for 5 years too long. Beyond that, the wine was a pleasant $12 drinker. You get what you’d expect from this one, a refreshing bottle of wine with no real reservations.
