Gary Vaynerchuk took his Wine Library TV show down to Virginia this week and sent his thunder live over the Internet from La Grange in Haymarket, VA.

Right away he got down to business, calling out La Grange’s Pinot Grigio for the $19 price tag. “Nineteen bones for a Pinot Gris is pushing the high side,” Vaynerchuck said as he poured. “Even top Alsacian Pinot Gris, with a Euro that’s kicking our face in, roll in at this price point.” (Emphasis mine, he couldn’t bold his speech).

Amen, brother.

On the side, if you’re looking for a nice intro to Alsace, check out Kuentz-Bas - Blanc. It’s a Kermit Lynch import and is on the shelf right now at The Wine Market for $14.
