Free (As In Beer) Wine Tastings in Baltimore
The Wine Source in Hamden has some nice Friday wine tastings coming up. The first is tonight from 4:30 to 7:30 and again tomorrow from 1:30 to 5:30.
We have selected wines that descend out of a variety of appellations from both the Northern and Southern Rhone in order to highlight the diversity of this still under-valued zone, and we have focused on wines that will be ready to drink sooner rather than later.
On the following Friday from 5-7pm, The Wine Source comes back with tasting with Michael Twelftree from Two Hands. I’m a fan of Two Hands’ entry wines like Angel’s Share and they run the spectrum all the way up into the triple digits for some bottlings. In a world of Aussie wines that take the grape and punch you in the face with it, Two Hands does a good job of showing a dash of restraint. Should be a good tasting at The Wine Source.
