Spirits of Mount Vernon
Spirits of Mount Vernon is a nice, spacious place to sit around and enjoy the light coming in through the huge glass windows at the front of the store. No chairs to sit around in, though, so, I got on surveying the wine around the store. They have a lot of regions represented, but not a very deep selection. Nothing that I saw was very expensive either. A few bottles pushed the $50-$80 range, but nearly all were under $25.
Tuesdays feature 10% all wines in the store. The woman who checked me out told me about their case discount and I thought she said 50% of cases. I got pretty excited, quickly tempered by her clarification: 15% off mixed cases. Not bad. If you’re looking to stock up a holiday party, would be a good way to go.
