This Just in on Maryland Winery Modernization
Just as WordPress published my scheduled post on Maryland Winery Modernization (SB-858), word came from MBBWL Facebook page that the bill has been tagged with an amendment to allow direct wine shipping.
Marylanders for Better Beer & Wine Laws: THIS JUST IN: Hooray for Sen Bobby Zirkin! He offered an amendment today to SB 858 (Winery Improvement act, which had made it onto the floor) to allow Direct Shipping of Wine. The Senate will vote on this on Tuesday. Please contact Sen. Nice move, but I hope it doesn’t cripple legislation which looked sure to pass.
