MD Wine Festival: Volunteers Needed (as usual)!
The 2010 Maryland Wine Festival, September 18-19
With Labor Day coming up this weekend, we’re in the home stretch before the Maryland Wine Festival on September 18-19. As always, that means wineries are ramping up their volunteer recruiting. Just within the last week I’ve received half a dozen e-mail blasts from different wineries looking for assistance. I’m sure that’s only a portion of them that would gladly accept a few hours of your time in exchange for free admission to the festival and (typically) some free wine. If you’re not already “in” with one favorite winery, the Maryland Wine Association can help connect you with an opportunity if you e-mail MWA staffer Regina at regina@marylandwine.com.
This festival will be my first volunteer experience – look for me pouring on Saturday (winery still TBD) as part of an embedded assignment for Vinotrip. Anyone else signing up this year? Or do you have any good stories from festivals past?
