Launched to minimal acclaim and fanfare in November of 2007, Vinotrip focuses on Maryland wine but often spills over into hard-hitting analysis of wine business from around the world.
About the writers
Gary Moore is a software engineer and Maryland native. Gary spent several years in San Francisco writing software for Vinfolio, a collector services company and online wine retailer. After moving back to Baltimore from California in 2007, Gary figured that what the world really needed now was another wine blog. Without hesitation, he installed WordPress and unleashed his uninformed opinions on wine upon the world. He is accredited at nothing regarding wine, has received no awards, and his opinions should not be read by anyone. The views expressed in this blog are his own. He now lives in Brooklyn with his wife, daughter, dog and wine collection.
Gary welcomes your (hopefully positive) feedback and can be reached here: gary (dot) moore (at) gmail (dot) com.
Matt Kircher is the founder of such exciting media properties as The Free State Wine Project and many long-defunct pages on GeoCities.com. Matt joins Vinotrip as the resident Maryland correspondent and all-around awesome dude. He currently resides exactly halfway between the two largest cities in Maryland, that is to say Baltimore and Washington (take that, Virginia!), in idyllic Columbia, MD. When he isn’t blogging about wine, you might find him marketing scholarly and professional research databases for an association publisher on Capitol Hill. Or playing video games.
E-mail him directly at kircher (dot) matthew (at) gmail (dot) com or follow his crazy random happenstances via twitter @mkircher.
