Near Montelimar and not far from the village of Bonlieu, this 18th century farmhouse, which was marked by shells launched during the Battle of Montélimar in 1944, opposing the German army and the American army, has now become , After many renovations, a guest house of character that offers a breathtaking view to the East on the Three Becs and the Pre-Alps, to the West on the Monts d'Ardèche, and to the South on the foot of the Old perched village of La Laupie guarded by the chapel of Saint-Michel. In this setting of calm and sweetness, the owners Ghislaine and François have managed to make of this old farmhouse, an authentic and ressourcing place.
The Rooms
This beautiful stone house offers 5 rooms of different sizes, ranging from 45m ² to 18m ². In the main building you will find 3 bedrooms including 2 modern and spacious family rooms:
- The "Côté Village" family room, suitable for 1 to 4 people, facing south and offering a view of the village of La Laupie and the linden trees.
- The family room "Côté Drôme", which will give the most morning the opportunity to observe the sunrise over the Alps.
- The room "Côté Ardèche", ideal for two people, overlooking the mountains of Ardeche, and in which you can enjoy beautiful sunsets.
In the small outbuilding in the garden you will find 2 other rooms with more modest volumes, which give a refined and timeless set:
- The "Côté Champs" room, on the ground floor, which leads directly onto the fields.
- The room "Côté Chapelle", which has for decoration in the foreground the Chapel Saint Michel.
A beautiful guest-house
In this house of character, the decoration plays on the clarity, the sobriety, with pretty engravings, some singular paintings to discretely punctuate the walls. Everywhere we perceive the care that has been brought to the layout of the whole: volumes, circulations and choice of furniture. Outside you can sit on a terrace, in the shade of the fig tree, to relax or enjoy a quiet reading time, and when the weather permits, you can enjoy the small swimming pool of this guest house, with integrated balneo.
