Very nice weekend
A very warm welcome at Domaine Bertrand-Bergé. Visit of the estate with Mme in a 4 x 4, a very nice ride where we learned a lot about the different grape varieties and terroirs. Then a visit to the winery, where we were lucky enough to taste the whites in fermentation. The tasting afterwards was a very pleasant and convivial experience, accompanied by homemade roquefort and ham turnovers. We then moved on to Domaine Grand Guilhem, where we had a lovely room (but no wine or chocolate) and a very basic introduction to wine-tasting theory. Good wines, too bad there were no whites or rosés. Nice house, good bedding, very good breakfast. Very good dinner in the restaurant, impeccable service.

Beautiful discoveries
Welcomed by Sabine at the Bertrand Berger estate. As described, discovery of the vineyard plots by 4X4. Explanation of the different soil types and grape varieties. Visit to the cellar and tasting of the range.
At the Grand Guilhem estate, we were welcomed by Gilles. A truly wonderful discovery of an atypical organic winegrower. Detailed tour of the winery and winemaking methods, including ageing in jars. Characterful, high-quality wines. Tasting followed by a meal at the village's gastronomic restaurant, accompanied by a bottle of Grand Guilhem. Comfortable room and breakfast with local organic produce. In short, an excellent welcome!
We then took the extension to Fondfroide Abbey. Remarkable site with VIP welcome.
TOP experience, very well organized.
Highly recommended!
