An unexpected interlude in the Bordeaux region
2nd VINOTRIP stay after enjoying the 1st stay in Burgundy. A very pleasant weekend in Saint-Emilion, despite a storm at the end of the 1st day which made us fear for the night in the cabin, but everything went relatively smoothly. In the early afternoon, we paid a visit to the saffron factory (which also produces pepper and goji berries), where we made a wonderful discovery of this little corner of the countryside and its hostess. Lodging in a hut where it is necessary to give advance warning to people prone to vertigo or with mobility problems, as access to the hut is not easy. Dry toilets in the accommodation, but showers are a 10/15 minute walk away in our case, which can be a problem for some people. The dinner in the basket was a great success, even if the weather wasn't right for us to take full advantage of the terrace. A small storm lamp is given to you on arrival (it would be advisable to provide accommodation with a ceiling attachment point to illuminate the area). The staff at Château de la Romaningue are pleasant and helpful.
Visits to Châteaux Soutard and Champion went well and were interesting. We preferred Château Champion for its authentic family atmosphere. The basket lunch in the courtyard of Château Soutard was great, with sunshine and friendly staff. Bike hire was a problem, as we were too busy to collect the bikes from the hire company.
A pleasant stay thanks to VINOTRIP's good organization.
When can we expect the 3rd trip... ?

A pleasant stay
Weekend offered to my best friend for her 30th birthday, we had a great time even if the sun wasn't out!
The only thing we'd like to rethink was the timing of our visits to the castles.
Nevertheless, we have fond memories of our stay.

TOP!
If I dared, I'd say Vin sur vingt!

Thank you!
Excellent stay in this beautiful region! Visit to the Terra Safran saffron factory, super individualized welcome, visit and tasting. Thank you for your welcome, it was very interesting. Overnight stay in a tree house: excellent welcome aperitif dinner and breakfast delivered quality. Restful and a real change of scenery. However, the stairs and suspension bridge may make it difficult for some people to access the tree house.
Bike hire: thank you for your welcome and availability, Marius (please note that the bikes are not electric).
Visit to Chateaux Soutard: quality service and very nice picnic basket. Visit to Château de la Tour Saint Christophe: many thanks to Zachary(ie) for his welcome and kindness. We had a great time with you.
To sum up, we recommend this package. The services are really of high quality. We would like to thank everyone involved in the organization, visits and welcoming of this stay.

Original stay and pleasant discoveries
This WE was perfect for originality and discovering wines and vineyards. Excellent meals in the cabane ( nice comfortable cabane and it's fun ! ) as well as breakfast and aperitif .
Then the next day, after a warm welcome at the St Emilion tourist office, we set off with our bikes through the beautiful rolling vineyards.

Original and very pleasant stay
We had an excellent weekend, an original and very pleasant stay in the peace and quiet of the countryside. The aperitifs, meals and breakfasts were copious and excellent. Charming staff.

Weekend in the Bordeaux vineyards
The trip was very well organized, and we were expected and welcomed everywhere. We particularly enjoyed the visit and tasting at Château Tour Saint Christophe, as well as the Sunday lunch. The accommodation was also perfect, and would have been ideal if it hadn't been for the deplorable weather, which also deprived us of the pleasure of the bike ride.
One drawback concerning the saffron farm: the products on offer are of excellent quality, but the presentation is not up to scratch (we're not in elementary school anymore!), and I think this visit should be reserved for interesting periods, when there's something to see.
Overall, we're very satisfied and have already recommended it to friends.

Sublime stay
We had a wonderful, well-organized stay. Everything was well done and we were very well received everywhere. The agreement between the partners seemed to work well, given the warm welcome we received. The saffron farm was a pleasant surprise, as this passionate couple taught us a lot about this little-known spice, apart from its price. Cabin accommodation was sumptuous, and the aperitif, dinner and breakfast baskets were copious and delicious. The next day's bike ride to Saint Emilion was very pleasant, the only downside being that my partner came across a bike at the end of its life, so he didn't enjoy the ride as much. The tourist office had provided us with a cycling tour guide (a very good idea). The welcome at Ambe Tour Pourret and Soutard was warm and well organized. We had a good lunch in the first château and enjoyed a lovely visit to Soutard thanks to our guide Léa, who knew how to captivate us with her explanations.
In short: a sublime stay not to be missed!
Thank you

Excellent weekend
A judiciously composed, well-balanced stay...
The tree house experience is magical, if a little short... The program in St Emilion is very nice too. We'll be recommending this getaway.
Thanks to you, and especially to our donor friends!

Thank you for this program
We had a great stay in Saint Emilion. The cabanes site is great, the reception opens at 4:30 pm, we didn't show up until 6 pm as agreed on the program and by the time everything was explained and other people welcomed, it was 7 pm and we didn't really take advantage of this beautiful site. The hut is superb, as are the welcome, services and catering. On the other hand, a Road Book is missing when we take the bikes, it would be nice to have a circuit including the castles to visit. The cheese & wine tasting was very good, as was the visit to Château Soutard, which was also magnificent.

two-day stay
very pleasant stay,
arrival at the organic saffron farm, excellent welcome from a passionate couple,
then arrival at our accommodation, high up in the mountains, by a young and dynamic team, only regret not having had time to visit the surrounding area, too short in time, everything was perfect in terms of catering, aperitif, dinner, breakfast, then departure for St-Emillion, collection of our bikes for the day, tour of the surrounding area, visit to château ambe tour pourret, wine and cheese tasting, excellent welcome from 2 young ladies, then appointment at château Soutard, but there was a staffing problem, the visit was delayed, we left disappointed, it's a shame such a large estate doesn't hire enough staff.... that's the only bad note of our stay, which was very pleasant.

stay naturally organic Bordeaux
Day 1: paradise at 8 m, very nice cabin, very good bedding, hearty dinner on a pulley with sunset as a bonus. Excellent breakfast. A little adrenalin on the way back down. A very friendly, welcoming and professional team.
Day 2: We headed for Chateau Ambe Tour Pourret, where 2 charming, kind and smiling hostesses awaited us for lunch, with tastings of 3 wines. All very delicious.
Excellent exchange.
Bikes collected, we set off through the vineyards to Chateau Soutard for a guided tour and wine tasting. Discovery of some very good wines.
Finally, a visit to the Safranière Artisanale in Ambarés la Grave. Two people passionate about the history of saffron are waiting to share their knowledge with you. A tasting of refined products delighted our taste buds, with these two friendly people.
An unforgettable weekend, to be recommended.

Naturellment Bio stay in St Emilion: Formidable!
Day 1:
- Visit to the organic farm Oh! Légumes Oubliés: the tasting of products was excellent and original.
- Overnight at the Cabane de La Romaningue in the "Sauternes" cabin, perched 8 meters up on a two-hundred-year-old oak: magnificent, peaceful and relaxing.
- Dinner in the cabin: the hot basket to be assembled using a pulley is very original and the meal delicious.
Day 2:
- Breakfast, still to be assembled using a pulley: copious and famous.
- Visit to Saint-Emilion.
- Lunch at Château Ambe Tour Pourret: cheese platter accompanied by 3 glasses of wine to taste the Château's products, delicious.
- Blending workshop at Château Soutard with visit and tasting: great welcome and the workshop is a very good idea.
- Visit to Château Fonplégade with tasting of 2 Pomerols and 2 St Emilions: top wines.
The itinerary was different from the one advertised on your site, but all in all it was a win-win situation, and the 3 châteaux we visited in St Emilion were excellent choices (taste, welcome, importance of the properties).
And the night we spent 8m up in the air will stay with us for a long time.
Bravo VinoTrip!!!

VINOTRIP trip to Bordeaux a success
Stay at La Barbanne: very comfortable accommodation but without in-room TV and morning newspapers. Warm welcome with a glass of fruit juice.
Copious breakfast. A small buffet would be preferable and better suited to non-foreign guests.
1st evening meal: nothing to complain about in terms of the quality of the dishes. No wine tasting in the cellar. A glass of Pinot d'Alsace was offered. Surprising payment for the only wine tasted...
The other days: a very warm welcome in the cellars for the free wine tasting. No pressure to buy wine.
Forgotten vegetables, on the last day: the 3 p.m. visit was too late. Eleven o'clock would have been better. We passed quickly.
Restaurant meal: very good, warm welcome (aperitif and drinks not included).
A successful stay!

Nice discovery
Everything was perfect throughout the 2 days. We were able to discover saffron cultivation before reaching our cabin. Nestled in a clearing, it's well worth the effort after a quarter of a day's walk in the blazing heat, and is a haven of peace. You can even enjoy a good meal while observing nature and waving at the stag. After a restful night, we went for a bike ride and visited 2 castles, each as interesting as the next. A wonderful weekend.
