History of the domain

Château Tour Saint Christophe is an 18th-century estate located between Saint-Émilion and Saint-Christophe-des-Bardes. Its 11-hectare vineyard lies on the clay-limestone slopes north of Saint-Émilion, overlooking beautiful old dry-stone terraces, carefully restored by hand during the estate’s renovation led by Peter Kwok and his daughter Karen in 2012.

For Peter Kwok, owner of Vignobles K, producing wine in Bordeaux reflects a long-standing love of France. Raised in Saigon by Chinese parents, he developed an early appreciation for French art, architecture, music and gastronomy.

His passion for wine led him to acquire Château Haut-Brisson, a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, before expanding with his children Elaine, Karen and Howard to other estates in Saint-Émilion, Pomerol and Lalande-de-Pomerol.

Excellent stay in this beautiful region! Visit to the Terra Safran saffron factory, super individualized welcome, visit and tasting. Thank you for your welcome, it was very interesting. Overnight stay in a tree house: excellent welcome aperitif dinner and breakfast delivered quality. Restful and a real change of scenery. However, the stairs and suspension bridge may make it difficult for some people to access the tree house. Bike hire: thank you for your welcome and availability, Marius (please note that the bikes are not electric). Visit to Chateaux Soutard: quality service and very nice picnic basket. Visit to Château de la Tour Saint Christophe: many thanks to Zachary(ie) for his welcome and kindness. We had a great time with you. To sum up, we recommend this package. The services are really of high quality. We would like to thank everyone involved in the organization, visits and welcoming of this stay.

Weekend in the Bordeaux vineyards

The trip was very well organized, and we were expected and welcomed everywhere. We particularly enjoyed the visit and tasting at Château Tour Saint Christophe, as well as the Sunday lunch. The accommodation was also perfect, and would have been ideal if it hadn't been for the deplorable weather, which also deprived us of the pleasure of the bike ride. One drawback concerning the saffron farm: the products on offer are of excellent quality, but the presentation is not up to scratch (we're not in elementary school anymore!), and I think this visit should be reserved for interesting periods, when there's something to see. Overall, we're very satisfied and have already recommended it to friends.

Jean-Christophe Meyrou, General Manager, Jérôme Aguirre, Cellar Master, and Laurent Peneau, Vineyard Manager, all share the same ambition: to express the very best of each terroir with precision, while respecting the environment through organic and sustainable winegrowing practices. Michel Rolland, a long-standing friend of Peter Kwok, also works with Vignobles K as consulting oenologist.
