A bucolic retreat in the vineyards, brushing the peaks of the Beaujolais Hills, Château Bellevue offers a truly timeless moment of relaxation.
This 19th-century manor, overlooking the village of Villié-Morgon in the heart of the Beaujolais wine region, was once home to a child of the Lumière brothers and Princess Lieven, born Chateaubriand.

Le Château Bellevue is a renowned estate known for its wines crafted primarily from the Gamay grape. Located in Villié-Morgon, at the heart of the Morgon appellation, the château benefits from a terroir rich in schist and granite, lending its wines remarkable complexity and structure. The vineyard spans 21 hectares.
To preserve the unique character and richness of each terroir, Élodie Rousselot, the cellar master, emphasizes plot-specific vinification, highlighting the aromatic diversity of Gamay Noir. The winery combines tradition and modernity, employing state-of-the-art equipment for precise craftsmanship.
Since 2023, amphorae have been introduced in the château’s cellar, enabling micro-oxygenation and refined aging, enhancing the fruit’s expression. Harvesting is done manually, with a rigorous double sorting process: first in the vineyard and then on a vibrating sorting table in the cellar, ensuring optimal grape quality.

Château Bellevue offers a variety of wine tourism activities to explore its heritage and wines. Visitors can enjoy guided tours of the estate, including the vineyards, the modern winery, and the amphorae introduced in 2023.
Guided tastings provide an opportunity to delve into the aromatic richness of wines made from Gamay Noir. Its bucolic setting, with views of the Beaujolais Hills, makes it an ideal location for private events or timeless moments of relaxation.
