1230 Rte De La Madone, 69820 Fleurie, France
The estate takes its name from the small chapel erected at the top of the hill overlooking the village of Fleurie. Topped with a statue of the Virgin Mary, it dates back to 1866 and was built by the local winemakers to protect the vineyards from powdery mildew (a grapevine disease).
The vineyards planted on this hill are known as the classified 'La Madone' climat.

Domaine de la Madone is located on the renowned La Madone hillside in Fleurie. This slope is often considered by connoisseurs as the finest of the cru’s climats.
It enjoys exceptional sunlight, and its soil is composed of pink granite, ideal for the Gamay grape variety.
Arnaud Despres produces several Fleurie wines and was the first to plant a vineyard with the Viognier grape on the Fleurie terroir.

During your visit to the estate, you will have the opportunity, through a guided tour, to discover the subtleties of Fleurie wines, to understand the estate’s winemaking approach by exploring the cellars, and to enjoy a guided tasting that will help you choose the wines that suit your palate.
The estate’s location is privileged both for the quality of its wines and for its scenic beauty. The remarkable view over the Beaujolais crus vineyards inspired the Despres family to share it with visitors by opening a winemaker’s inn.
The inn offers regional dishes, homemade on the terrace or in the panoramic dining room, perfectly paired with the estate’s wines.
