Your itinerary

You have rendez-vous for an original wine-tasting with a winemaker who will share his passion and wines during thematic workshops (one activity selected based on availability on the chosen dates):
- Join winegrower Marie Spannagel for a guided visit of her family winery and an interactive tour stimulates the five senses, while the Meyer-Krum family will challenge your tastebuds with white Alsace wines and delicious local cheeses.
- Try the Alsace Grand Crus and Chocolate experience at Freyburger Estate in Ammerschwihr.
- Philippe Blanck from Domaine Blanck Paul & Fils will teach you about the role of soils in shaping the character of a Grand Cru during a visit of the landscapes and terroirs that make up his estate.
- Enologist at Domaine Kuehn and history fan Francis Klee will be your guide on a tour that tells the story of Ammerschwihr. Seven metres below ground you will visit the "Caves de l'Enfer" (the Cellars of Hell) for a candle-lit tasting of the Kaefferkopf Great Vintages.
- Learn about the mysteries of vinification with the winemaker Jean-Jacques Dietrich in Kaysersberg.
- Enjoy an easy-going introduction to wine tasting at Domaine Pierre Adam and discover the secrets of the Alsace Grands Crus wines.
Diner at a typical alsacian restaurant, with wine and food pairing: 3 course menu with 3 glasses of Grands Crus.

We chose Paul Blanck and were greeted by a secretary. The person in charge arrived later; the tasting was rushed, and the scheduled tour was canceled because the winemaker was absent. The hotel in Orbey was very nice, but the head chef walked out in the middle of service....The staff was pleasant. What a shame!!!

A beautiful stay

Everything went perfectly. The tasting at Domaine Freyburger was a revelation. Mrs. Freyburger is a true wine professional, charming and convincing that white wines (hers are outstanding) can be paired with chocolate. This goes without saying for Crémant rose and Pinot Noir. Bravo! The Abbaye d'Alspach is very comfortable and the Côté Vigne restaurant in Kientzheim is highly recommended. Fortunately, both are in the same village.

Wonderful gift

Charming hotel at Alspach Abbey, very comfortable. A warm welcome at the Frelanl Museum restaurant, with its beautiful dining room, delicious food and fine wines, and a very instructive visit to JB Adam's vineyard, as well as wine tasting in a very pleasant setting.

We had a very pleasant stay The tasting at the Dietrich cellar was very interesting and the wine merchant was very involved. Accommodation at Alspach Abbey was top-notch, and dinner at the Fréland museum was excellent. Everything was perfect and well organized!

Very nice stay

We had an excellent weekend. The tasting was really good at Domaine Pierre Adam, the hotel was charming and the staff very friendly. We were slightly disappointed with the restaurant, as we expected a much better meal given its rating.
