About the Domaine François Schwach

Family estate for 3 generations, founded in 1950 by François Schwach. The area of the property is 18 acres of vines , around 7 towns in the heart of Alsace major wines. The vineyard consists of unique terroirs including four Grand Crus: Osterberg, Schoenenbourg Rosacker and Kaefferkopf.

Winemaking is today the result of a subtle blend of tradition and modernity. Grapes routed bottiches to better preserve the product, pneumatic press that allows the flavors to sublimate and use vats possible to obtain a distinctive wine of high quality. The area offers a range of 5 extra crude Crémants, made by the traditional method.

Specialist Crémant d'Alsace for 3 generations, these wines are regularly rewarded and medalists.

  • Superb Experience

    I had the opportunity to spend a superb day on the wine route. Every visit was well organized. The Schwach estate was a real favorite. I would also like to underline vinotrip's responsiveness, as the Meyer Krumb estate was not available for the date of my stay, but the vinotrip team was able to replace this visit with a visit to another estate, the Louis Sipp estate. The Domaine Louis Sipp, which I highly recommend if you're visiting Ribeauvillé. All in all, a great experience, and I hope to be able to do more with vinotrip in the near future. Oh by the way, the trip included a stop at Flamme&Co for lunch, where I ate some superb Flammekueche, yum.
