  • History of the Domaine Gimonnet & Son

Since the mid-18th century, Gimonnet has been winemakers. At the time, they delivered their grapes to wine merchants. Things changed in the period between the wars, when Pierre Gimonnet decided to get into winemaking.
Today, the field covers about thirty acres of Chardonnay in the Côte des Blancs , with plots in Premiers Crus Cook and Virtues and the Grands Crus Cramant Chouilly and Oger.
Gimonnet , passionate winemakers are the interpreter of their land and give each wine a very particular expression. For this, the winemaking is patchy, in tanks adapted to different volumes. In all their joints, there is a constant: the Gimonnet style , made of elegance, finesse and minerality.
