Maison Vérizet is part of the winemaking history of the Mâconnais, a terroir shaped over centuries by the work of winegrowers and the influence of monastic orders. In 1928, winegrowers from Viré joined forces to create a cooperative winery in order to promote their wines and their expertise.
This collective momentum contributed to the development and recognition of the terroir, culminating in 1998 with the creation of the Viré-Clessé appellation. Today, Maison Vérizet continues this legacy by showcasing the richness of its vineyards and the dedication of its winegrowers.

The wines of Maison Vérizet – Cave de Viré come from the hillsides of the Mâconnais, at the heart of the Viré-Clessé appellation. Made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes, they fully express the richness of their limestone terroir through elegant, fresh, and mineral white wines.
The cuvées reveal aromas of white fruits and flowers, offering a fine balance of roundness, finesse, and complexity, hallmarks of the great wines of the Mâconnais.
Maison Vérizet offers a welcoming wine tourism experience in the heart of the Mâconnais. Visitors can discover the estate’s wines through guided tastings in the Viré tasting cellar, exploring the full diversity and richness of Chardonnay-based cuvées from the Viré-Clessé appellation.
