Château Valandraud was founded in 1991 out of the passion of Jean-Luc Thunevin and Murielle Andraud. They purchased a 0.6 hectare plot in the Fongaban valley in Saint-Émilion, where their first wine was produced in a garage converted into a small winery.
The estate has since expanded to more than 10 hectares on the clay-limestone plateau of Saint-Étienne-de-Lisse, with a diversified grape composition and hand harvesting followed by very rigorous selection.
Today, Valandraud is classified as a Premier Grand Cru Classé B, symbolizing boldness and high standards, where tradition and innovation come together to create exceptional wines. The estate also offers accommodation in the heart of the vineyards with the Logis de Valandraud, allowing visitors to extend their wine tourism experience in a peaceful and panoramic setting.

The Logis of Valandraud is located in the heart of the château’s vineyards in Saint-Étienne-de-Lisse, near Saint-Émilion.
The property offers comfortable, fully equipped rooms set within a charming traditional stone house, featuring panoramic views over the surrounding vineyards.
Each room provides modern amenities, including air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, and a private bathroom, ensuring a relaxing and comfortable stay. Guests can also enjoy several shared spaces on the property, such as a lounge, a panoramic terrace, a garden, and a heated outdoor swimming pool (depending on the season), making it an ideal place to relax while experiencing the beauty of the Saint-Émilion wine region.

At Château Valandraud, discovering wine means experiencing a complete immersion in the heart of the Saint-Émilion vineyards.
The estate offers guided tours that allow visitors to understand the château’s unique history, its demanding approach to viticulture, and the key stages of winemaking, from vineyard work to the aging of the wines in oak barrels in the cellar.
These experiences continue with guided tastings, where guests can explore the aromatic richness and identity of the estate’s wines, all in a privileged setting overlooking the Fongaban valley.
