History and wines of Château Féret-Lambert

A family-run estate for four generations, Château Féret-Lambert is now managed by Valérie Féret. The estate produces exclusively red wines in the Bordeaux Supérieur appellation, known for their elegant, fruity and well-balanced style.

The vineyard covers 13 hectares and is planted with 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. The estate follows a quality-focused approach, with high-density planting, leaf removal, green harvesting, low yields and manual grape sorting.

The wines are aged for 16 months in French oak barrels, in limestone quarries located beneath the vineyard. Château Féret-Lambert wines are regularly recommended by critics, including Robert Parker, who described the 2006 vintage as “a consistent winner” and “good value”, and the 2008 vintage as “always well made”.

Travellers' review - Château Féret-Lambert

  • Very satisfied with the services provided!

Château Féret-lambert: very warm welcome, remarkable setting. Château de Ferrand: visit to the cellars, very pleasant tastings, particularly interesting blending of wines (perhaps one small criticism: the plank of charcuterie and cheese offered to accompany the wines was really symbolic: so we went to eat at St Genès Castillon, comptoir Genès). Clos Mirande, gastronomic restaurant: welcome, service, cuisine, all excellent! Visit to Saint-Emilion: fascinating tour, the restaurant "L'envers du décor" is well worth a visit: shady courtyard, friendly welcome, and good food.
