  • Château Desmirail wines

The characteristics of the wines are explained by a unique microclimate between the Atlantic Ocean and the Gironde Estuary, and an exceptional terroir: gravel carried by watercourses that have the property of accumulating the heat of the sun, releasing it through radiation, and ensuring regulation of the water system. The property covers an area of 40 hectares of vineyards.

The grape varieties consist of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot, and 1% Petit Verdot.

The grapes are handpicked and vinified separately to allow the diversity of grape varieties and terroirs to express themselves. Barrel aging lasts for about one year, with the percentage of new barrels never being less than 30%.
